A leading independent financial services group is looking for a Financial Manager to join their dynamic team. 
The purpose of this role is to provide exceptional financial accounting and financial reporting services within a centralised Finance Department to ensure effective execution of accounting
functions in line with business, legislative and regulatory requirements.
The Financial Manager provides support to the Head of Finance that reports to the Board of Directors and other senior Management of the business and its subsidiaries.
Duties & Responsibilities but not limited to:
• Review and manage debtor and creditor control
• Preparation of group invoices
• Oversea and manage financial accountants to ensure accurate and complete financial records
• Provide commentary for movement in the monthly AUMs and AUAs
• Review accounting records & monthly reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly and year end close
• Preparing monthly financial management reports for subsidiaries and group (consolidation)
• Preparing and managing of annual budgets and cashflows
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Manage Monthly payroll
• Processing payments
• Monthly statutory, bi-annual and annual returns (e.g VAT, EMP201, UIF, provisional tax returns, etc.)
• Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process
• Reviewing annual financial statements to ensure they comply International Financial Reporting Standards and Companies Act requirements
• Tax calculations
• Retirement fund administration
• Payroll submissions
• EE reporting
• Foreign Exchange adjustments
• Preparation of BEE schedules and collating supporting documents
• Ensure statutory compliance, includes annual CIPC submission, drafting resolutions, etc
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum: CA (SA)
- Work Experience: 2-3 years’ post article experience/Experience in Auditing within the Financial industry during articles
- Investment Services and Actuaries Consulting advantageous
System Knowledge:
- Pastel
- VIP Payroll (advantage)
- Excel
